Its winter solstice next week, and with it the shortest of days. At the winter solstice the Sun travels the shortest path through the sky and we are all getting used to waking up in the dark and leaving work in the dark.
Getting up before the sun can be really demotivating and the temptation to fall back to sleep is nearly irresistible! Unfortunately, you do have to get up so it’s important to have things to work towards and what can help you better than some motivating words? Well, probably a few cups of coffee but we haven’t developed the tech for pulling a coffee off the page, yet!
Instead, here are some quotes to get you inspired for work!
- If you’re not going to start the day right, you’re not going to get the results you want.
“You’ve got to get up every morning with determination if you’re going to go to bed with satisfaction.” ~ George Lorimer
- From the mind that bought you a world in a wardrobe, not much more inspiring than that!
“You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.” ~ C. S. Lewis
- If you need some statements to live by, try these.
“Wake up early. Drink coffee. Work hard. Be ambitious. Keep your priorities straight, your mind right and your head up. Do well, live well and dress really well. Do what you love, love what you do. It’s time to start living.” ~Anon
- If you’ve got ideas, make the most of them before someone else does!
“The critical ingredient is getting off your butt and doing something. It’s as simple as that. A lot of people have ideas, but there are few who decide to do something about them now. Not tomorrow. Not next week. But today.” ~ Nolan Bushnell
- Just think of all those little ideas that can be achieved.
“Much may be done in those little shreds and patches of time which every day produces, and which most men throw away.” ~ Charles Caleb Colton
